As a child, Doreen knew she wanted to be of service… specifically to children and the underserved… working with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities in a variety of settings since the beginning of her professional career. Committed to serving through education, teaching, advocacy, and healing—this journey has evolved over time from direct care work with people with physical and development differences, to working with Middle School students as a Teacher, to advocacy work, to wilderness and residential therapy, community-based mental health, and private practice. Disheartened by the modern mental health and medical model in Western Society with a focus on dysfunction, Doreen has sought wholistic and spiritual trainings and teachings in order to best serve her clients. In doing so, she has also grown and healed personally. As a Clinical Social Worker, Doreen has supported children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate and move through the heaviness and darkness of trauma experiences, supporting them in reconnecting to their bodies and hearts so that they may embrace this human life and the light of their souls. Interweaving EMDR Therapy with Yoga, Reiki & Subtle Energy Work, Traditional Herbalism, Eagle Condor Intensive Teachings & Andean Mysticism, Earth-based Wisdom, and Yew Tree Mysticism.

Doreen has a deep love for Pachamama and all her beautiful creations, especially connected to the plants, flowers, trees, mountains, and dragon spirits. She enjoys sharing ceremony and guiding others in connecting to themselves, others, and Spirt while in the natural wonders of this planet.

Sitting in medicine ceremony, asking for clarity and guidance on future steps, it became clear that Doreen’s plans needed to change, and the direct message from Spirit was “There is no time for pursuing a PhD… the planet needs you now”. This is where the vision to create a program for youth and young adults was confirmed… Pachamama’s Light Warriors. As youth of today are re-awakening earlier because the planet needs these light warriors NOW… but what training and support do they have in this Western World? More disconnected from self, others, the natural world and Spirt… our planet and youth are in crisis. Having until 2025 to support the shift in consciousness, the vision of this youth and young adult initiative is to bring the work of the ECC to the young people, giving them tools and practices to support this continued shift in alignment with Spirit and the Divine.
